INDICATIONS FOR USE
Qualitative and quantitative composition of the diabetic vitamin mineral complex has been developed especially with a glance to the needs of people, suffering from carbohydrate metabolism disorders and diabetes mellitus. The balanced composition of the product meets increased demand of essential elements, which lack is observed in case of diabetes mellitus, and is aimed at: Metabolism improvement; Immunity boosting; Easing the progress of associated diseases; Recovery after injuries and diseases; Improvement of antioxidant defence of the body; Reduction of risk of development of diabetes mellitus complications, such as damage of retinal vessels, blood vessels, renal dysfunction, dysfunction of the central and the peripheral nervous systems etc.

DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SUBSTANCES
Vitamin C participates in oxidation-reduction processes, carbohydrate metabolism regulation, tissues regeneration, normalization of capillary permeability.
Vitamin E is the most important antioxidant, protecting cells from damage by free radicals, participates in the most important processes of cellular metabolism, has positive effect on the muscular and cardiovascular systems.
Magnesium is necessary at all the stages of protein synthesis; it supports nervous system and myocardium normal functioning, has vasodilating effect, stimulates bile discharge, improves intestinal motor activity, what helps evacuating cholesterol from the body.
Vitamin P (rutin) has antioxidative properties, provides angioprotective action, promotes retardation of diabetic retinopathy development, prevention of microthromboses and other damages of the retina of vascular ethology.
Zinc is necessary for normal insulin synthesis; it helps improving body resistance to infections and improves skin barrier functions, what is of great importance for people with diabetes mellitus, who are susceptible to frequent infectious diseases, skin infections.
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is necessary for normal nervous system, adrenal glands functioning; it participates in metabolic processes in the body, activates oxidation-reduction processes.
Vitamin A (retinol) promotes normal metabolism, provides for normal function of the organ of vision, has positive effect on the function of the lacrimal, sebaceous and sweat glands, improves resistance to the infectious diseases of the airways and intestinal mucosa, intensifies resistance to infections. Antioxidative effect of Vitamin A prevents development of late complications of the diabetes mellitus.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is important for normal central and peripheral nervous system functioning, participates in amino acids metabolism actively. Vitamin B6 deficiency in people with diabetes impairs body cells sensitivity to insulin.
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) participates in carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolisms, plays an important part in supporting of normal visual function of the eye and haemoglobin synthesis.
Vitamin B1 (thiamine) provides for normal carbohydrate metabolism in the liver, the brain and other tissues and participates in lipid and protein metabolisms, improves state of the nervous system and the neuromuscular apparatus, boosts immunity, improves liver function. It is of use for prevention of diabetic complications – neuropathy, retinopathy, nephropathy.
Folic acid (Vitamin B9) is necessary for normal nucleic acids and proteins metabolism, participates in processes of tissues regeneration, haematopoiesis.
Chromium is one of the most important microelements in type 2 diabetes mellitus therapy; it acts as glucose tolerance factor. Chromium deficiency aggravates insulin resistance.
Selenium participates in a number of vital processes in the body, viz. lipid, protein and carbohydrate metabolisms, in oxidation-reduction processes; reacts with vitamins, enzymes; shows powerful antioxidative properties by protecting cell membranes and preventing free radicals formation, thus reducing risk of oncological diseases.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) participates in lipid, protein and carbohydrate metabolism in the body actively and is one of the elements that are necessary for normal growth and development of body cells. By reacting with insulin biotin normalizes blood sugar level, what of especial importance in case of diabetes mellitus. Biotin is necessary for normal functioning of the nervous system, which cells need glucose. Together with folic, pantothenic acids, as well as cobalamin (and other B-vitamins) it improves body nervous system functioning.
Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) has high biological activity and is necessary for normal haematopoiesis; has positive effect on liver and nervous system functioning, activates carbohydrate and lipid metabolisms.
