White cinquefoil (Potentilla alba L.) has noticeable effectiveness in normalizing the structure and function of the thyroid gland. The biologically active compound albinin, contained in the underground part of the plant, exhibits thyroid-stimulating and gonadotropic activity, affects the production of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland, which, through a feedback mechanism, affects the synthesis of thyroid hormones. The white cinquefoil rhizome contains elemental iodine and the iodide anion, which is a natural concentrate of micro- and macroelements (Mn, Cu, Zn, Se, Co, Fe, Si, etc.), biologically active components such as flavonoids, phenolcarboxylic acids and saponins, which normalize metabolic processes in the body, regulate hormonal balance and are necessary for the healthy functioning of the thyroid gland. Thanks to the bioflavonoid quercetin, which has pronounced antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing activity, the effect of stabilizing thyrocyte membranes is ensured, the permeability of thyroid cells is regulated, their protection from the harmful effects of autoantibodies and free radicals is ensured, and receptor and hormone-secreting functions are restored. The main biologically active substances of white cinquefoil have a pronounced antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cytostatic, immunomodulatory effect, and also improve blood microcirculation in tissues.
Adults: 1 capsule 1-2 times a day with meals. The course of treatment is up to 4 months, the possibility of repeating the course should be agreed with the doctor. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Before use, consult a doctor.
