DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SUBSTANCES

Milk thistle (silybum marianum) is a medicinal plant, which has been used for many years to treat liver diseases. Active ingredient of milk thistle is a rare biologically active substance – sylimarin; in addition, it contains such microelements as zinc, copper, selenium, the whole range of fat-soluble vitamins, quercetin, polyunsaturated fatty acids, some amino acids, flavonolignans etc., what predetermines its multiple applications. Silymarin has expressed hepatoprotective and regenerative effect on hepatic cells, provides antioxidative, detoxifying action (neutralizes toxins and poisons).

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Fruit: Adults take 1 teaspoon twice-thrice a day after meals. Term of use – up to 1 month. Further, the term of use is to be agreed with a doctor.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Fruit: Individual sensitivity to certain components, pregnancy and lactation, children under 12.
