Milk Thistle Plus Herbal Tea (for Liver)

An additional source of biologically active compounds. It helps improving liver and bile ducts function, improves digestive processes. The product has mild choleretic effect.

COMPOSITION

Milk thistle fruit, corn silk, Saint-John’s Wort grass, beggar-ticks, mint leaves, mint grass, dogrose fruit, dogrose seeds, straw flower flowers, elecampane root, nettle leaves, nettle grass, chamomile flowers.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

Milk thistle is known for its ability to stimulate and support liver function and to restore its cells.
Milk thistle fruit have hepatoprotective effect, promote improvement of liver function, and normalize digestion. Milk thistle protects sound hepatocytes and increases their resistance to infections and various intoxications. Milk thistle intensifies gall production and accelerates its excretion, thus normalizing digestive processes and metabolism.
Silymarin (a complex of bioflavonoids) content in milk thistle fruit provides for its ability to protect the liver from damage and penetration of toxic substances, evacuate existing toxins, stimulate production of protein and activate DNA and RNA function.
Such microelements as zinc, selenium, copper, the whole range of fat-soluble vitamins, quercetin, flavonolignans, polyunsaturated acids – approx. 200 components in total – were found in milk thistle.

APPLICATION

Put 1-2 bags in a pot and add a glass of boiling water, let it infuse for 10-15 minutes. Adults drink as tea thrice a day before meals. To improve the taste add some sugar or honey. Term of use – 3 weeks, repeat after a two weeks’ break if necessary.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Individual sensitivity to certain components, pregnancy and lactation, children under 12.
