One of the best investigated representatives of phospholipids is lecithin (centrolex-F), a substance, which is of essence for human body, basic constructional material for cell membranes. Great amount of lecithin is contained in the brain, liver, nerve fiber membranes.
Influence of lecithin on human body is enormous:
• It is the most important constructional material for brain (multiple sclerosis, impaired memory and other disturbances of brain activity are usually accompanied by low lecithin level in human body; lecithin deficiency in children results in distractible attention, low learning capability);
• It decreases cholesterol level and fatty acids concentration in blood, helps cleaning vascular walls from cholesterol plaques;
• It helps absorbing fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are necessary for nutrition of all body cells (lecithin helps body to produce energy; its deficiency is often observed in case of high physical loads).
The main constituent of milk thistle is a rare biologically active substance – silymarin. In addition, it contains such microelements, as zinc, copper, selenium, the whole range of fat-soluble vitamins, quercetin, polyunsaturated fatty acids, some amino acids, flavolignans etc., which determine multiple use of milk thistle. Silymarin has expressed hepatoprotective effect; it restores liver cells, provides antioxidative, detoxificative (neutralizing toxins and poisons) action. Silymarin prevents penetration of poisonous substances to liver cells and decomposes other poisons before they start affecting the liver adversely. It is the only known natural compound, protecting liver cells and restoring its functions as of today.
Adults take 1 capsule thrice a day with food. Term of use is one month; further, the term of use and the possibility of retreatment are to be agreed with a doctor.
