COMPOSITION
Bilberry leaves – 100.0 mg, nettle leaves – 50.0 mg, strawberry leaves – 50.0 mg, elderberry leaves – 35.0 mg, oat straw – 25.0 mg, bean shells – 25.0 mg, laurel – 15.0 mg, lactose – 65.0 mg, potato starch – 20.0 mg, carboxymethyl cellulose – 10.0 mg, calcium stearate – 5.0 mg.
DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SUBSTANCES
Bilberry contains in its leaves neomirtillin, which reduces blood glucose level significantly. In addition, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, wholesome essential oils, phenolic acids, triterpene acids and other biologically active compounds, contained in its leaves, promote improvement of cardiovascular system functioning, normalization of adaptation mechanisms
The value of nettle in case of diabetes mellitus is determined by secretin, contained therein, which is a glycoprotein, normalizing metabolism, stimulating insulin secretion, thus leading to blood glucose level reduction. The plant is also a mine of vitamins, containing significant amount of vitamins C and A, microelements, biologically active substances, providing curative and prophylactic effect on the body.
Bean shells have a great spectrum of curative effects due to their antihyperglycemic, hypotensive, antirheumatic, diuretic, anti-inflammatory effects; they also normalize metabolic processes. Shells contain a great deal of macro- and microelements, easily digested proteins, vitamins and other wholesome substances. Beans provide positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Lectins in beans stimulate synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, enzymes; improve ability of cells to utilize glucose and secretion of insulin by the spleen.
Laurel leaves reduce blood glucose significantly; they are rich in potassium, manganese, vitamins B, PP, A, C and other essential elements; provide conditioning effect on the immune system of the body, improve appetite.
Strawberry leaves are used for normalization of metabolic processes, blood glucose level reduction, improvement of cardiovascular system functioning, immunity boosting. They are a source of tannins, organic acids, flavonoids, glycosides, catechins, macro- and microelements.
Oat straw properties include ability to reduce blood glucose level, evacuate noxious substances and excess fluid from the body, to clean vessels, preventing atherosclerotic plaques, reduce cholesterol level, improve digestive system functioning.
Elderberry leaves favor blood glucose level reduction, carbohydrate metabolism regulation, have a mild sedative effect.
