Badiaga or Spongilla is an animal product with local irritating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It is a traditional folk remedy for bruises, injuries, rheumatism. Pulverized sponges have been used for skin infriction or as an ointment, mixed with fat or water for application on the skin. It has local irritating effect (due to the presence of microscopic silica needles).
Rutin prevents appearance of blood effusions, bruises. It has anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effects.
Apply a small amount of the gel-balm evenly to the damaged skin area 3-4 times a day until its complete absorption.
