INDICATIONS FOR USE
An additional source of cytidine-5-diphosphocholine, L-tyrosine and ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10), which help normalize the functional state of the nervous system.
Due to its combined composition, Oxyrinal is prescribed for the following purposes:
• reducing emotional lability, anxiety;
• preventing the development of nervousness, lethargy, apathy;
• correcting professional burnout syndrome;
• improving mood, protecting against the harmful effects of stress;
• correcting eating behavior;
• reducing the severity of post-alcoholic disorders of the nervous system;
• improving the functional state of the nervous system.
COMPOSITION
Cytidine-5-diphosphocholine – 35.72% (250 mg), L-tyrosine – 14.29% (100 mg), ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10) – 14.29% (100 mg). Excipients: sorbitol – 28.7%, potato starch – 5.0%, calcium stearate – 1.0%, aerosil – 1.0%, pharmaceutical film coating.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Oxyrinal helps to correct mood, eating behavior and helps prevent neuronal death. Thanks to cytidine-5-diphosphocholine, L-tyrosine and ubiquinone, it helps to stimulate continuous adaptation of neurons to new functional conditions, which is a key prerequisite for reducing brain tissue damage caused by chronic stress, hypoxia, ischemia and/or toxic effects on the brain. Due to the combined membrane, neurotransmitter and neurometabolic effect, it acts at the level of the molecular cascade. It helps to slow down lipid peroxidation, protect neuronal membranes and mitochondria from damage.
Cytidine-5-diphosphocholine (citicoline) is incorporated into the cellular, cytoplasmic and mitochondrial membranes of the brain, stimulates the biosynthesis of structural phospholipids of neuronal membranes and improves the conductivity of nerve impulses.
Due to the stabilizing effect on the neuronal membrane, it helps reduce cerebral edema. Cytidine-5-diphosphocholine maintains the energy supply of neurons, has a neuroprotective effect in focal cerebral ischemia, which coincides with a slowdown in the spread of ischemic brain damage. In patients with traumatic brain injury, it accelerates recovery and reduces the duration and intensity of post-traumatic syndrome. Cytidine-5-diphosphocholine improves brain metabolism, increases attention and consciousness, reduces the severity of cognitive and neurological disorders, helps reduce the manifestations of amnesia, asthenia and withdrawal.
L-tyrosine has a mood-regulating effect. Tyrosine is a precursor to the mood-regulating neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine, and at the physiological level it helps to improve mood. A lack of tyrosine causes a deficiency of norepinephrine, which in turn leads to a decrease in the ability to resist and adapt to stress.
Normalization of L-tyrosine concentration affects:
Central nervous system: L-tyrosine improves mood, increases adaptability to psychological and physical stress, helps fight depression, anxiety and the effects of stress, regulates eating behavior and improves cognitive functions. Lack of sufficient tyrosine leads to a deficiency of norepinephrine in the brain, which can lead to the development of depressive and anxious states.
Endocrine system: with the participation of tyrosine, hormones are synthesized in the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, and adrenal glands. Their normal work supports cognitive, motor functions, regulates metabolism, and has a regulating effect on mood.
Cardiovascular system: L-tyrosine helps regulate blood pressure, reduces the risk of hypertension, improves vascular tone and nutrition at the cellular level. The frequency and intensity of vegetative-vascular spasms decreases, the heart muscle is strengthened.
Metabolism: under the influence of L-tyrosine, the breakdown of fats is enhanced and carbohydrate metabolism is normalized.
The most important ability of tyrosine is considered to be the weakening of the effect of stressful conditions, which is due to the stimulation of the production of pharma. Given this, the following should be named as useful effects of tyrosine:
– protection from anxiety and nervous shocks;
– improving mood;
– creating a feeling of subjective well-being;
– adding vigor;
– increased vigilance, especially in those who do not get enough sleep;
– stimulating the production of dopamine (“pleasure hormone”);
– improving cognitive skills, especially during stress.
Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10) is a coenzyme, antioxidant, vitamin-like substance.
It is a component of the electron transport chain and participates in oxidative phosphorylation. Its main function is the conversion and accumulation of ATP – adenosine triphosphate, a universal source of energy for all processes occurring in cells.
Q10 has a pronounced antioxidant, antihypoxic, regenerating effect. Q₁₀ stimulates metabolic processes in the brain by activating the synthesis of glucose and ATP; improves blood supply and oxygen saturation of brain tissue, promotes the elimination of lactate.
Coenzyme Q10 increases the speed of sensorimotor reactions, specifically affects cognitive processes, improves attention, short-term and working memory.
The effects are based on both the antioxidant properties of Q10 and its ability to stimulate the production of neurotrophic factors.
