DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SUBSTANCES
Goji berries have antioxidant activity, reduce blood cholesterol and glucose level, improve blood circulation, normalize blood pressure, have general health-improving and tonic effect, improve sight, boost libido.
Goji berries are used as one of the most effective products for slimming. Fruit of this plant have low glycemic index. The lower the index, the slower blood sugar level rises after meals. Glycemic index of Goji berries is 29; that of glucose is 100, caloric value of the berries is 62 kcal/100 g. This property of Goji berries allowed its using in various dietary programs, as well as for slimming.
Antioxidant activity of the barriers is preconditioned by the presence of flavonoids, vitamins, viz. Vitamin C, carotenoids in their content. Antioxidants retard oxidation processes in the body, prevent forming of free radicals, which contribute to ageing, reduce risk of emergence of age-related, cardiovascular, oncological diseases, boost immunity.

Put 1 tablespoon of Goji berries into a pot and add 0.5 l of boiling water, let it infuse in a vacuum flask for 30 minutes. Adults take 0.5 glass twice-thrice a day after meals. After making an infusion the berries can be eaten. Term of use – 30 days.
